There is nothing quite like the taste of whiskey; it even smells warm. When the cold weather starts blowing in, I like to focus on it and tend to neglect my other favorite alcoholic beverages.

I like manhattans, whiskey and coke, whiskey and fruit juice. I've had Irish Car Bombs, Boilermakers, and Irish Coffee. Nothing quite beats a neat bourbon for warming a girl up, though, whether it's for sipping or shooting.

One of my favorite bourbons would have to be Jim Beam.  It's delicious without being too expensive for my everyday budget. Give it a whirl. It's better than long underwear.

Try a Washington Apple. Easy to make, easy to drink.

1 part whiskey
1 part Apple Pucker
1 part cranberry juice

Shake on ice and enjoy.
